Carrington Mobile 1.0 is now available!

In order to update my WordPress Mobile Edition plugin, we built a new Carrington-based mobile theme that is both backward compatible with feature limited mobile browsers and appropriate for advanced touch-screen browsers (iPhone, Android, etc.).
To do this, we are delivering the CSS and JS in a very deliberate way in order to layer the functionality on as needed for more advanced browsers, without sacrificing accessibility for older mobile devices.
While most people will want to use this theme with the mobile browser auto-detecting goodness provided by the WordPress Mobile Edition plugin, we’re making the theme available directly as well for anyone who wishes to create a mobile-targeted site powered by WordPress.
You can preview the theme here, and the download link is on the themes page.

Really good
Have to try that with my Mobile.
err – it doesn’t work? I get no pic of the iphone on the preview. shame, really like it.
One question Sir, I have installed your plugin and theme. but is it a must thing to activate the carrington mobile theme or mobile browsers will automatically detect carrington mobile theme. I want different theme on PC and carrington mobile theme on mobile….
I am little noob please tell if this is possible
I am wondering the same thing. Or do I install it in a subdomain and it links back to my regular theme?
Use the WordPress Mobile Edition plugin.
HI Alex,
I’m trying to change the colors of the theme as well as the font size by default (too small), so I open the style file and also to css folder>advanced.css, I make changes…but they’re not shown when browsing from my cellphone. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
Ever since I upgraded to WordPress 2.8, WP Mobile edition no longer allows new posts. Anyone else have this issue?
